So I got done with the list and 20 of the 27 were musicals! Wow!

Hmmm ... I would have to say historical drama/romance. Although historical doesn't mean it has to be based on actual events - just set sometime back in history. Of course I love the comedic elements thrown in too ... but I would have to say drama. Although I do love your list. Those are some fabulous movies.
I love chic flicks!
Growing up Mary Poppins was my absolute favorite...watched it over and over. It's fun watching Emma watch it now.
You'll probably not believe I've not seen some of those movies.
Annie - I have to be in the mood, but I really do enjoy historical dramas as well.
Danielle - One of the movies that didn't make it to my list because it scared me too much when I was a kid is Annie. We have the movie - in Spanish. My Raimy knows all the lyrics to the songs - in Spanish. It is a riot to listen to her sing her heart out with such a familiar tune and new words.
Oh, Danielle - yes chic flicks are great too. :-)
i have to say... in general, i really don't like musicals. there are a few i enjoy, but mostly... ummm... no thanks.
if i had to choose a genera, i think it would be drama. that's such a stupid word. but i like a heart wrenchingly intense movie that sucks me right into what's going on.
Alece - If DaRonn and I can't agree on a movie to watch (which frequently happens) we will go with a drama because we know that we will both enjoy it because we won't be making fun of the movie the other one chose. Am I making sense? He likes action - so while we are watching I make jokes like, "Aw c'mon! The guy just got smashed by a semi truck and he can still walk? I don't think so!" Or if we are watching a sippy-sappy (his term not mine) show he will every once in a while pull down my bottom eyelids to see if there are tears there and make an extremely sarcastic pouty lip face at me. Matrimonial bliss I tell ya'. :-)
By the way - re. one of your previous comments - I am glad that you like talks in the car too. ;-)
sounds like fun times with the hubster!
Fantasy and sci/fi. I know that's really two, but they are lobbed together quite often.
Natalie - I enjoy fantasy, not so much sci/fi. There is a definite difference if you ask me. My brother in law is a trekkie (sp?) so I have come to appreciate some of Star Trek.
